1. Landed Immigrants

1) Passports of the entire family

2) Original Landing Papers

3) 2 copies of Cargo Control Abstract

4) Packing List

5) B4E (only applies to those who received this form when they declared the shipment at the airport customs)

2. Former Residents

1) Passports of the people who have been absent from Canada (original)

2) Documents that prove your presence outside of Canada (Example: Salary Record, Employment Contract, Etc.

from the foreign country)

3) 2 copies of Cargo Control Abstract

4) Packing List

5) B4E (only applies to those who received this form when they declared the shipment at the airport customs)

3. Study Permit

1) Family passports

2) Visas (original)

3) 2 copies of Cargo Control Abstract

4) Packing List

※ Every family member must go to the Customs.

4. Work Permit

1) Family passports

※ The value of the goods must be marked on the Packing List

<Sequence of interview>

1) Arrive at customs office at least 10 minutes before your appointed time.

2) Tell the receptionist at the reception desk your appointment time.

3) If there is no person present at the reception desk, wait until someone comes to the desk.

4) The receptionist will either tell you to wait a few minutes or direct you to a customs officer.

<Things you should know>

1) Simple and direct answers are the best; do not provide unnecessary, additional information.

2) Canada Customs will not clear these items under any circumstances:

Meat products, Weapons, Dairy Products (such as cheese, milk products), Seeds and

Products made from parts of endangered animals.

3) Duties and taxes (up to 400% of the declared value) apply to Liquor and Tobacco.

Please note that these items will not be cleared immediately by customs even if the duty and taxes are paid.

Moreover, Prime Int'l Van Lines must be notified beforehand if the shipment includes alcohol or tobacco products.

4) Taxes may be applied to products that were purchased during the previous year.

5) Taxes may be applied to products intended as business goods or as gifts.

6) If there are coming shipments in addition to the present shipment that has just arrived,

a packing list of the coming shipment must also be brought to the customs at this time.

7) Prime Int'l Van Lines must be immediately notified if the customs officer determines that

your shipment must undergo an inspection.
